Cookies policy

How we our cookies policy and other technologies?. We use cookies, web beacons and/or similar technologies to understand and enhance your online experience on our sites and through our online advertising and media, including social networking sites and mobile applications, as described below. Our affiliates, as well as our and their advertising partners and other third-party service providers, also use such technologies for these purposes.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your browser. Web beacons are small strings of code that provide a method for placing a graphic image on a Web page to transmit data such as the IP address of the device that downloaded the page on which the Web beacon appears, the URL of the page on which the Web beacon appears, the time the page containing the Web beacon was viewed, the type of browser that received the Web beacon, and the identification number of any cookie previously placed on the device by that server.
We also use “software development kits” (“SDKs”), JavaScript, and snippets of code in our mobile applications to perform functions similar to cookies and web beacons. For example, SDKs collect technical and usage information, such as mobile device identifiers and your interactions with our mobile application. Some of our sites use local storage objects (“LTOs”) to deliver content, such as on-demand videos, video clips or animations, and to provide a better user experience.
We use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your browser or device, maintain your preferences, provide certain site features, synchronize users across devices, collect information about your online interactions with our sites, content and communications, and protect, identify and prevent fraud and other illegal activities.
Types of Cookies and Other Technologies. We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies on our sites for the purposes indicated:

  • Necessary cookies: enable basic site functionality.

Strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies are essential to provide you with access to our sites or applications and to use our features. Without them, some services, such as enabling appropriate content based on device type, may not be offered.

  • Analytical cookies: allow us to analyze site usage.

Analytics cookies or similar technologies collect information about your use of our website or applications, allowing us to analyze traffic and understand user interactions for analytics, such as analyzing, measuring and reporting on the use and performance of our sites and marketing materials. For this purpose, we may use third-party service providers such as Google Analytics, who may use their own cookies or similar technologies. The information is used to improve our sites or products.

More information about Google Analytics can be found at the following link: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/cookie-usage.

To opt-out of Google Analytics in relation to your use of our sites, you can download and install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on via this link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=es.

  • Functional cookies: allow us to personalize your experience and provide you with optimized functionality of our sites.

Functional cookies or similar technologies allow our websites or applications to remember choices you make (such as your user name or the region you are in) and provide optimized and more personalized features and content, as well as a better user experience. They can also be used to remember changes you make to text size, fonts and other customizable parts of web pages.

  • Targeted advertising cookies: allow advertising partners to serve ads based on your interests.

Advertising cookies or similar technologies allow us, our related companies and our advertising partners and those of our related companies to target, offer, market or advertise products. These cookies and similar technologies also facilitate, manage and measure the performance of any advertisements displayed or delivered through our sites. These advertising partners may also be able to track your browsing across sites, applications and social networking sites. For more information, please see the section on advertising choices.

  • Social media cookies: these are used when you share content with or link to social media sites.

Social media cookies or similar technologies are used when you share content by clicking a social sharing button or “Like” button on our sites or apps, or when you link your account or engage with our content on or through a social network such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. The social network will record this activity. The information may be linked to targeting and advertising activities.

Management of cookies and other technologies. If you are located in the UK or EEA, you can use the cookie consent platform on our website to consent to or refuse our use of cookies. In other countries, you can manage your consent to cookies and tracking technologies on our websites through settings.

In a mobile application, you will need to go to the privacy settings or settings on your device. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, whether from us or any other site operator. Controlling cookies through browser controls may not limit our use of other technologies. Please refer to your browser settings for more information. However, if you block cookies or similar technologies, you may restrict your access to some of our site content or features. You can also consult your browser settings to find out how to delete cookies.

Adobe Flash Player and similar applications use OAL technology to remember settings, preferences, and usage patterns in a manner similar to browser cookies. Flash cookies are not managed through your browser, although you may be able to access your Flash management tools from Adobe’s website. Your browser may also offer other tools to remove or reject other OALs. Please consult your browser’s settings or help menu for more information.

We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals because a uniform technology standard has not yet been developed. We are constantly researching new technologies, so we may adopt a standard once it has been created. See Your Marketing and Advertising Choices above for other ways to control data collection for advertising purposes.
